InterCultur gGmbH offers trainings, seminars, and consultancy for educational institutions, organizations, and companies which require improvement and further development of their and interaction with and understanding for other cultures.
InterCultur is a subsidiary of AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen e.V. and therewith part of one of the oldest and worldwide biggest organizations for intercultural exchanges. Over 60 years of experience in pedagogical supervision of intercultural encounters and situations stand for the organization’s know-how.
InterCultur bases its work on experiential learning within the framework of seminar sessions. Instead of applying a traditional classroom teaching style, InterCultur transfers knowledge and skills by using methods like culture simulations, case studies, tasks for smaller groups, group discussions, or stage exercises and role-plays. Moreover, the organization places special emphasis on the exchange of experiences between participants and instructors of the seminars. Through this, InterCultur offers lively and authentic trainings, conducted by experienced instructors using interactive methods which provide a suitable environment for learning and reflection.
Since 2010, InterCultur organizes intercultural summer academies in collaboration with academic partners (http://intercultural-summeracademy.org) and further conducted a certificate course for the qualification as intercultural trainer together with Jacobs University Bremen for the third time in January 2015 (http://winteracademy-bremen.org).
